{"id":2041,"date":"2014-05-26T18:58:00","date_gmt":"2014-05-27T00:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.truk.com\/ramble\/?p=2041"},"modified":"2014-05-28T03:13:49","modified_gmt":"2014-05-28T09:13:49","slug":"arles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.truk.com\/ramble\/2014\/05\/26\/arles\/","title":{"rendered":"Arles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.truk.com\/ramble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-img_20140527_075648.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"IMG_20140527_075648.JPG\" class=\"alignnone size-full\" alt=\"image\" src=\"http:\/\/www.truk.com\/ramble\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/wpid-img_20140527_075648.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After a couple of hours birdwatching in the salt marshes of the Carmague, we slipped into Arles at sunset, later than we hoped to be but still hoping for a decent meal on a quiet Monday night. <\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t ever find the meal (oven-cooked pizza made-to-order in a van, anyone?) , but we did discover the city where Van Gogh did his best work wrapped in the colors of sunset, back-lit against a dramatic, stormy sky.
