Another shot of Coronado Beach. I spent most of Wednesday on a plane, and this was what I was thinking about.

Point Lima of the Cabrillo National Monument in the distance.
The tiny dots above the water are two Navy helicopters practicing hovering and water extraction.

During Christine Borgman’s talk regarding the future of libraries and the challenges (and opportunities) ahead.
This may be the darkest place I’ve been in San Diego. Good thing the talk was interesting.

Jeff and I skipped across the border for lunch.

Despite the cool weather, I really enjoyed the beach.

Here are a couple more snaps from a fun, sunny day in SD.

Why am above the clouds? Well, technically, I’m on my way to San Diego, but metaphorically, I’m over the moon about my new niece, Hayley Katherine, who was born today.
I wish I could have been there, but I’ll see her soon.
Congratulations to the happy parents, Jaymie and April!

I can’t explain how, but something about this photo just fits.

Thanks to Dave and Christina for a lovely dinner and conversation.
